Welcome to the Grant Area Chamber of Commerce:

Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) This program connects start-ups and other small businesses with experienced executives who counsel them free of charge on everything from developing their business plan to raising capital. There are literally no strings attached for this free service, and nobody tries to sell you anything. Unfortunately in this day and age, all too often we have to worry about those kinds of things. Not here! Please feel free to stop by or contact the Chamber office if you are interested in learning more about this free program. For more information, please contact Lori Supinski at (231) 652-9298 x13.

Current Fundraising Efforts:

  • Our members have collaborated to donate funds which were matched by the Chamber to purchase 50 red rope lights.  These new lights are wrapped like candy canes and are displayed on the new decorative streetlight poles in downtown Grant.  If you have not already noticed it, check out the banner listing our Christmas lights sponsors displayed on the historic wooden water tower.

  • Remaining Funds from those raised and matched for the rope lights will be used to purchase banner brackets and American Flags for the same light poles in the downtown.  The Chamber Board have determined the brackets needed as well as the additional funding necessary to make this purchase.

Below is a list of fundraisers that the Grant Area Chamber of Commerce has done in the past:

  • Frontier Festival 2009: Friday, August 21 & Saturday, August 22, 2009 include a 50/50 Raffle and a Texas Hold-Em Tournament.

  • City-Wide Sales: 50/50 Raffle during Grant City-Wide Yard Sales on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

  • Frontier Festival 2008:The Texas Hold'em Tournament was held on Saturday, August 23 during Festival. The tournament was well attended, and we are pleased with the $1,200.00 profit for the event.

  • Frontier Festival 2008: The Community Picnic With Fremont Area Community Foundation Friday was held on Friday, August 22 during Festival. Our generous community helped raise over $1,200.00, which was matched by the Fremont Area Community Foundation. These funds will be donated to the City of Grant as part of the Chamber's commitment for the City's Streetscape Enhancement Project scheduled to begin in April 2009.
